At the start of this year's CES, Vizio unveiled its new line of televisions, including its P-Series 4K TVs. At the time, the company was quiet about how much its new Ultra HD sets would cost, only suggesting that it would be priced aggressively—now that Vizio has officially announced that its 4K televisions will start at $999, it's clear that they weren't kidding.
In addition to its 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, Vizio's P-Series televisions are equipped with Full-Array LED backlighting for even lighting, 64 Active LED Zones for improved contrast, UltraHD upscaling, and the ability to let users adjust the display's frame rate. The P Series also includes access to Vizio's Internet Apps, powered by a quad-core GPU and a dual-core CPU.
