The newest DOTA 2 event, the New Bloom Festival, is bringing new rewards for players to craft and receive, aesthetic map redesigns and a difficult enemy known as the Year Beast.
According to the DOTA 2 blog, the Year Beast's appearances are "cyclical by nature," and is "dispersed across space and time." Judging by this, it's unclear whether the Year beast will appear randomly throughout matches or if it will be included in a custom game mode.
In addition to being able to face the beast, players will come across Flamesalt Ingots, materials essential for crafting items useful against the Year Beast. Fortune's Favor, a temporary buff that increases ingot harvest, will also be available with the New Bloom Festival. Lastly, any players who face the Year Beast may be able to receive or craft New Bloom recipes or the Wardfish, which is made from the beast's remains.
