One of this past year’s most entertaining and fun horror films, You’re Next, took a home invasion scenario and asked - what if someone in that house were potentially a better killer than the people doing the invading?
With You’re Next hitting DVD and Blu-ray this week, I spoke to the film’s creators – writer Simon Barrett and director Adam Wingard – about the film’s origins, finding their integral leading lady, Sharni Vinson, and selecting the oh-so catchy song, "Looking for the Magic", featured in the movie. We also discussed how You’re Next is the cinematic child of Home Alone and Die Hard, among other influences, and more.
