Nintendo cancelled a time attack contest for the recently released NES Remix due to an exploit that allowed for faster completion times. The announcement was delivered on Miiverse from the game’s director, Koichi Hayashida (via GoNintendo).
“Unfortunately, we confirmed that there is a way to exploit the challenge and achieve a faster time, “ Hayashida said. “In the interest of being as fair as possible, we decided to terminate the event without recognizing the fastest time.” Hayashida thanked participants for their time and effort during the contest.
