With the TV adaptation of From Dusk Till Dawn hitting Robert Rodriguez's El Rey Network this month, the El Mariachi director is receiving most of the attention for reviving the Gecko brothers. However, it seems the series wants to remind audiences that the property owes a lot to the 1996 film's writer, Quentin Tarantino, and a certain burger that made a cameo in that film.
Big Kahuna Burger has appeared in multiple Tarantino films, receiving the most attention in Pulp Fiction. The catchphrase in the commercial is a reference to Samuel L. Jackson's remark upon tasting one of the franchise's famous burgers.
It's unclear whether the "Special Agent Utah" Point Break reference carries any significance for the show... but who can argue with a Point Break reference?
