Why You Should Watch Trip to Italy IGN All

“Better food, better scenery, but the conversations are the same.” So said Steve Coogan of his follow-up to The Trip at a screening of episodes five and six of the series in London last week.


The original – which was directed by Michael Winterbottom – saw Coogan and Rob Brydon playing exaggerated versions of themselves bickering, doing impressions and competing for laughs as they reviewed restaurants in the north of England.


This sequel of sorts – again, overseen by Winterbottom – finds the boys heading to Italy to “follow in the footsteps of Byron and Shelley” and as Coogan says, it’s very much more of the same, if a little sunnier, with the food even more appetising, and the humour just as cutting.
