Jeff Lemire brings a major portion of his Green Arrow run to a close with this newest issue. After discovering the existence of the Outsiders and the Totem Clans and going through one ordeal after another, Ollie finally has his showdown with Komodo and Onyx. This issue is viscerally satisfying, thanks in large part to Andrea Sorrentino's striking visuals. But the story does prove anticlimactic in some ways.
The main area of disappointment is the fact that Ollie often seems relegated to background status in his own book. Lemire and Sorrentino devote most of the attention in terms of one-on-one combat to the clash between Onyx and her Fist Clan and Katana. It's a well-rendered battle, to be sure. And it's great to see Katana finally being used to her fullest in the New 52. But with as much hell as Komodo put Ollie through in the past, I was really hoping for a more prolonged showdown between the two characters.
