The last thing the world needs is another rehash of Spider-Man's origin in any medium. Luckily, that's not the angle Dan Slott took with the Amazing Spider-Man: Learning to Crawl mini-series. This is more an untold story that fits between the beats of the early Stan Lee/Steve Ditko stories. On one hand, Learning to Crawl is appealing because it allows Slott to tackle Peter at a vastly different stage of his Spider-Man career than he has in his long run on the main series. On the other, it legitimately adds something to the character's evolution from showboating celebrity to noble superhero.
