Warning: this review contains spoilers for the identity of the new Captain America!
Last time a volume of Captain America reached the issue #25 milestone, the result was a major status quo shift as Steve Rogers was assassinated and the build-up to a new Captain America began. This time around, Steve isn't dead, merely de-powered and elderly. And rather than launching into an extended journey to find someone worthy to wield the shield, writer Rick Remender introduces the new Cap before the end of the issue. This finale issue makes for a fairly effective lead-in to All-New Captain America, but it succeeds more at wrapping up loose ends with the Zola family than it does establishing the new Cap.
