You only think you know what the word "cooperative" means until you play Hell Divers. Most games settle for letting your buddy tag along to do their thing while you do yours; Hell Divers puts your friends lives in your hands. Whether they live or die will depend, above all else, on the many tactical decisions you'll need to make throughout your mission, and though that sounds like a lot of games in theory, few put those ideas into practice so devilishly well as this one does so far.
The choices start coming before a mission even starts, when you decide where your squad of up to four will drop in on one of Hell Divers' isometric. This isn't a simple matter of choosing between a couple of pre-set spawn points. Your objectives, including your extraction point, will be spread across the map, and you can start wherever you like, but the closer you start to an objective, the more alien resistance you'll run into. Sometimes taking the long way, or approaching from a different direction to avoid enemy patrols can be the difference between choppy seas and smooth sailing.
