The first footage and details of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's online multiplayer, called Metal Gear Online, was revealed during The Game Awards.
The trailer opened with the player character instantly swapping between character skins, finally landing on the Big Boss himself. It quickly transitioned to dozens of player-controlled characters storming a base and using various tactics such as stealth takedowns, toy dogs that acted as distractions, and using the Fulton system to send enemies high into the sky.
The action-packed trailer ended with a cute moment of Snake himself taking a selfie with a enemy who happened to be in a choke-hold.
This version of Metal Gear Online has the subtitle “Tactical Team Operations.”
