A new trailer has revealed the first gameplay footage of Adr1ft, a space-based survival adventure from studio Three One Zero. I had a chance to go hands-on with a very early version of the game, and have a chat with its creator, former Microsoft Studios creative director, Adam Orth.
If you haven't been following along, Adr1ft is a game where you play a lone astronaut drifting through the gnarled remains of a space station orbiting Earth, desperately looking for a way home as your oxygen supply dwindles away. If that sounds terrifying, that's because it is, especially if you experience it through the Oculus Rift as I did. Looking down past my own feet at our home planet with nothing but debris and emptiness around me was an experience that left me kind of gobsmacked in a way I haven't been in a long while.
