Omega Force’s One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 has taken two giant steps away from predecessor. It's appealing to fans of the manga with canon storyline, and mixing up its hack-and-slash gameplay to promote experimentation with strategy and combat systems.
The latest Koei Tecmo Games collaboration inserts One Piece characters into the Dynasty Warriors hack-and-slash style. Unlike Pirate Warriors 2, the new installment centers on canon One Piece storyline, beginning at Fushia Village where protagonist Luffy first embarks to realize his dream of becoming the Pirate King. Players have the opportunity to recruit every member of the Strawhat Crew, including Fujitora, Trafalgar Law and Sabo.
