The developer of the mobile game Threes, Asher Vollmer, has revealed that his minimalist real-time strategy game, Close Castles, is coming to PlayStation 4.
Players take control of kingdoms with castles that were built too close to each other. The goal is to expand your kingdom while attempting to destroy your opponent’s castle at the same time.
Vollmer’s goal is to create a more enjoyable RTS game experience by removing the stress that comes with multiplayer games. Close Castles’ games are intended to be quick and have been built around local multiplayer, allowing players to see what each other’s progress. Vollmer also cites the development of Close Castles for use with a controller as his inspiration to make the controls as simple as possible.
