Former Doctor Who star David Tennant has joined Marvel’s Netflix series A.K.A. Jessica Jones as the villain Zebediah Killgrave, who himself as an A.K.A.: The Purple Man!
Krysten Ritter stars as the title character while Mike Colter will play Luke Cage on the show before getting his own series as well.
Killgrave plays a major role in Jessica Jones’ life in the comics, but it remains to be seen how much the show will match his and Jessica’s story from the printed page. Here’s the official description of the series from Marvel: “After a tragic ending to her short-lived super hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City. An enigmatic figure from Jessica’s past, Kilgrave’s reappearance will send shockwaves through the former super hero’s world. The 13-episode series will premiere on Netflix in 2015.”
