Dexter himself, Michael C. Hall, has reportedly been cast in Disney's remake of Pete's Dragon.
Variety reports that Hallwill join stars Robert Redford, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley, and newcomer Oakes Fegley. David Lowery co-wrote and will direct the movie.
Unlike the 1977 original, this version of Pete's Dragon won't be a musical and will be a CGI/live-action hybrid.
Hall's recent movies include Cold in July and Kill Your Darlings. He is currently playing the title role in the musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway.
