Intel is investing $300 million to advance the hiring and retaining of more women and under-represented minorities as engineers and computer scientists with the Diversity in Technology initiative, the company announced during its CES 2015 keynote, as well cultivating support and education in these fields,
"We're calling on our industry to again make the seemingly impossible possible by making a commitment to real change and clarity in our goals," CEO Brian Krzanich said during the keynote. "Without a workforce that more closely mirrors the population, we are missing opportunities, including not understanding and designing for our own customers."
