When Earth 2: World's End was first announced, it seemed strange that the monthly Earth 2 series was still sticking around. However, this series carved out a niche for itself as a companion to World's End, offering standalone stories inside the larger Apokolips conflict that flesh out the origins of various characters. Unfortunately, that purpose has pretty well evaporated by the end. This finale issue sends Earth 2 out with more a whimper than a bang.
