Justified: "Fugitive Number One" Review IGN All

Of all the friggin' things this show has done over its six years, this episode had its most touching scene.


I've always loved the Mikey Mike/Wynn relationship and it's been a highlight of this year, no doubt. For all of Wynn's supercilious and snide comments toward Mike and Mike's resentment for such treatment (and love for classical music and guac), they made it work. Until Hale came in with a gun.


This series hasn't had a moment more tender than Mike asking Wynn to hold him and Wynn obliging. Mike turned out to not be so stupid after all and his final defining characteristic was his commitment to Duffy. It was the best love story in the series. Their relationship ended up being something close to married, something similar to father-son. Whether or not there was something more than that will probably be debated forever by fans on message boards in the far away corners of the internet, but it was a special relationship that didn't need to be boxed in by labels. It was beautiful.
