That’s it folks. It’s over. Batman Eternal sees it’s end with issue #52. Weekly series are never a surefire thing, as comic book readers know all too well. And while one focused on the world of Batman certainly fired us all up upon its announcement, there was certainly room for concern as to whether or not this series could succeed. Throughout its run, Eternal would see issues range from amazing to just okay. Even still, it succeeded greatly in telling the story of Batman and his world while expanding and introducing many elements along the way. While the results of the final issue are less-than-perfect, the combination of effective dialogue, blockbuster action sequences, and many great moments make for an ultimately satisfying conclusion.
