For all its strengths, this series doesn't read like much of an Avengers comic. The various cast members are scattered about and contending with different facets of the High Evolutionary's latest grand scheme. The result is a slightly disjointed feel as the story bounces from Rogue's imprisonment to Vision's close encounter to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's journey of discovery. Meanwhile, characters like Sabretooth and Brother Voodoo appear little or not at all. This series isn't doing a great job of showcasing the new team, but the individual story threads are largely enough to make up for this flaw.
