For some readers, Amazing Spider-Man may be merely existing during this brief stretch between Spider-Verse and the upcoming Renew Your Vows mini-series. Perhaps this current arc isn't as exciting as some, but it does return focus to a crucial element of Dan Slott's run - Peter's attempts to establish a thriving company despite all the trials of his superhero career. This issue succeeds at balancing the two halves of Peter's life. It makes especially strong use of Anna Maria, who emerges as a helpful, if somewhat exasperated ally, and one who is a far different player in Peter's life than Mary Jane, Carlie Cooper or the rest.
