Penny Dreadful: New Photos and Info IGN All

Showtime's new horror series Penny Dreadful, premiering May 11th, takes place in London in 1891 - a place where there are all sorts of things that go bump in the night. Executive producers John Logan and Sam Mendes, the team behind Skyfall, are imagining a world where the history of horror is interlocking, including some very familiar characters from literature and film. The cast includes Eva Green (Casino Royale), Josh Hartnett (Black Hawk Down), Billie Piper (Doctor Who) and no less than a former James Bond, Timothy Dalton.

Beginning early next week, Penny Dreadful's website (currently containing production blogs) will change to a much different, immersive and interactive experience, which will take you deep into the world of the series, giving you more insight into what to expect. Content will include an interactive tarot card experience, character cinemagraphs and literary elements as a nod to the characters' history. IGN has your first look at new photos and bios for the main characters that will be a part of the site - along with a peek at the plans of a certain doctor and inventor named Frankenstein.

Looking for Earth's Mightiest Heroes? Disneyland would be a good place to start these days!

On the heels of exhibits focused on Iron Man and Thor that made their way to the original Disney park in Anaheim, CA in the past year, Captain America -- whose new movie, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is not so coincidentally about to open -- is joining his fellow Avengers for the new "Captain America: The Living Legend and Symbol of Courage" opening on March 7th.

Spidey 2 Cast on Potential Marvel Crossovers IGN All

Show of hands: who among you would be interested in a Spider-Man/Avengers crossover movie? Pretty much everybody?

Well, you’re all in good company as director Marc Webb and the cast of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 are unanimously in favor of such an endeavor. Of course, the odds are against it due to licensing constraints (Marvel controls the Avengers, Sony has the film rights to Spidey) but it never hurts to dream.

Yahoo! Movies UK put the question to Webb and Spidey 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx. Everyone says they’d love to be involved in a crossover with the Marvel film universe, but they all seem to recognize the difficult logistics. As Garfield says, “Obviously big business and lawyers and rights issues are an obstacle for that.”

Helix: "Level X" Review IGN All

Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.

Oh, Helix. You can go from being arctic cool to a crazy hot mess, often in the same scene. I'm glad I made my peace early with the fact that this show is, at its best, camp. Even so, "Level X" had some really clunky moments--primarily because of bad dialogue and weak acting at points. I feel like this episode would've been way better on mute, especially when they decided to become the two-hundredth television show to use Gary Jules' version of "Mad World" in an end-of-show montage. They've been using music so well, too.

The best part of the episode was a returned focus on the Vectors, who've been reduced to cameos of late. This week we got to see them swarm, share their mouth goo in a disgusting yet oddly touching ritual that revived (and how) Peter, who then became something of a god to the drippy denizens of Level X. Remember way back when an infected Peter asked Hatake for water and he said "Progress"? Why is he different? We also got to observe a Vector in captivity, after Sarah was used as bait (really?) so that it could be captured and used as a lab rat. Alan may not be laughing at its plight the way cryogenic expert Victor is, but he has seemingly given up on insisting on calling them "he" and "she." They've been thoroughly dehumanized.

Xbox One's March Patch to Include Better Audio IGN All

Microsoft will enable support for Dolby Digital surround sound with the next Xbox One patch, due out in March.

Presently, the console's optical-out port only supports two-channel stereo sound. The new patch should make the Xbox One compatible with surround-sound headsets from third-party manufacturers.

The omission of the 5.1 surround sound feature upon launch was a bit strange, given that both Microsoft's and Sony's consoles have had 5.1 optical sound support since the Xbox era; Microsoft's director of product planning, Albert Penello, had said previous to launch that this was due to a "
