Justice League #13 Review IGN All

This issue of Justice League focuses heavily on Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, and I don’t have a problem with that. Superman, Flash, and Cyborg have a few nice moments, while Batman and Aquaman are purely background characters. Again, I don’t mind this because for the first time since this series began, I feel I have a stake in the main characters and I am genuinely intrigued by the conflict. Who would have thought Cheetah would be a more interesting villain than Darkseid?


Tony Daniel’s superb artwork proves to be easier on the eyes than the harsh and rough lines utilized by regular series artist Jim Lee. The title splash page would make a gorgeous wall poster all by itself. Best of all, he sells the ferocious power and grace of Cheetah as she flips and slashes her way across the page. His smooth, detailed character work also make the Leaguers look strong and powerful. That said, they look too strong and powerful while idly chatting in the Watchtower. It’s okay to relax those shoulder muscles when you’re on break.
