Holy crap, fanboys!
Deadline reports that Disney has approached Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan and screenwriter Simon Kinberg (X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men: First Class) about scripting Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX. Oscar winner Michael Arndt is scripting Star Wars: Episode VII.
What's unclear from Deadline's report is whether Kasdan and Kinberg are writing both installments together, or if Kasdan is taking on Episode VIII and Kinberg's doing Episode IX, respectively.
