Conventional wisdom dictates that when you're writing a four-issue mini-series, you don't devote the entire first issue to introducing the cast. Unfortunately, that's exactly what Infinity: The Hunt #1 was guilty of. But at least the series has nowhere to go now but up, right? Technically, yes, but this issue is only marginally more entertaining than the first.
In fact, there are more introductions to be made in this chapter, as Matt Kindt spotlights the surly students of the Latverian School of Science. This is all conveyed through the eyes of a Doombot instructor, an approach that would have been clever if not for the wall of text that results and the eye-straining green font said text is rendered with.
