It feels Chris Yost have been building up to the debut of the "Superior Six" in Avenging Spider-Man and Superior Spider-Man Team-Up for a long time with no real payoff. It didn't help that the previous two issues featured a different creative team and focused on a completely separate Infinity tie-in. But Yost and Marco Checchetto are back for issue #5, and the wait for the Superior Six proved well worth it.
Yost certainly cooked up a challenge worthy of Otto's newest team by pitting them against the Wrecking Crew. Yost also makes the surprise move of working the newly formed Alchemax corporation and Miguel O'Hara into the conflict. It's a nice bit of cross-continuity between Spider-books, though these characters (especially Miguel) wind up feeling superfluous to the plot.
