The Star Wars is a tough project to critique. What standard do you hold something like this to? By its very nature, this story is an inferior version of what would eventually become the greatest space fantasy saga of all time. After all, this comic is based on George Lucas' first draft, and there's a reason movie scripts tend to be rewritten again and again by multiple screenwriters. So many of the flaws that bogged down the prequel trilogy are evident here – an excess of characters, dorky names and terminology, a heaping helping of political mumbo jumbo, etc.
