The director has been found to helm the next live action Gotham City story we'll see. Danny Cannon will direct the first episode and serve as an executive producer on Gotham, reports Deadline.

Cannon began in feature films, where his early credits another comic book adaptation, the notoriously troubled Judge Dredd, and the slasher sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, before moving to TV, where he's been quite successful. Cannon has directed the pilots for all three CSI series and also directed the pilots for series like Alcatraz, The Tomorrow People and the recently-concluded (and perennially underrated) Nikita, establishing the visual style for all.
