Sony has confirmed that PlanetSide 2 is set to run at 1080p with a "smooth" framerate on PS4, and promised hands-on time at E3.
The news comes from creative director Matt Higby, who made the comment during a PlanetSide 2 Twitch stream. He revealed the team is still optimising the MMO shooter for the new console, with bespoke UI and control mechanics all part of the process.
Last we heard about PlanetSide 2 on PlayStation 4, Sony was still optimistic about a release date later this year, though we've yet to hear anything more. Seeing as Higby says elsewhere in the stream that hands-on time will happen at E3, hopefully this means it won't be long until the game's out in the wild.
