Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow...
It's interesting how Gotham, in the few episodes since "Penguin's Umbrella," has shifted most of its focus away from Gordon, Bullock, and Penguin and over to Bruce and Selina - with even last week's "Harvey Dent" spotlighting the two kids way more than the titular character debut.
Granted, the title Gotham gives the show an "out" when it comes to who might considered the protagonist week to week, but that doesn't prevent things from feeling muddled in the process. "LoveCraft" put our two (SCREW YOU!) orphans on the run while effectively ending the partnership between Gordon and Bullock - sending Gordon off to be a security guard at Arkham. Which was probably the one of the silliest moments of forced shuffling on the series so far. The whole "LoveCraft killed himself with your gun and now you're a guard in a mental hospital" was silly. As was Gordon's reasoning for not quitting. "It's what they want me to do." It's not like he got assigned to desk duty. He's not a cop now.
