During the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Sony revealed their new 4K Handycam, a 20.6 megapixel handheld camcorder capable of capturing video in 4K resolution.
According to Sony's Mike Fasulo, the camera is capable of capturing steady images without the use of a tripod. It will be available for a retail price of $1,000 USD.
Additionally, Sony revealed a 4K active cam slightly larger than the GoPro and able to capture action in 4K resolution. During the show, skater Tony Hawk showed off some snowboarding footage captured using the active cam.
