During The Walking Dead midseason finale Sunday night, AMC debuted a new clip from Better Call Saul. The upcoming Breaking Bad spinoff/prequel focuses on Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) of course, but we also know that Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) is a part of the cast. On Breaking Bad, Mike was an amazingly talented hitman and fixer, but we eventually learned he was once a cop. But what was Mike doing in between those two careers?
In this clip, Saul meets Mike and makes some assumptions based on Mike's job, age and appearance that one just shouldn't make...

The dreaded spell of Shattered Sight was cast in the last episode of Once Upon a Time and is inching its way towards Storybrooke. Two things. One: it was smart of the creative forces of Once to establish the rule in this universe that curses don't instantly hit everywhere at the same time. The fact that they creep in via menacing clouds gives them time to create all sorts of Curse Anticipation Drama (TM) for better or worse.
Two: the curse is bringing the worst and as we've heard repeatedly (emphasis on repeatedly), it will cause the citizens of Storybrooke to tear each other apart. Knowing what's coming gets them all wound up so much so that the curse practically begins working before it sweeps in and rains jagged mirror bits on everyone -- which was a snazzy effect. Well played writers for coming up with a curse that wreaks havoc before it's even cast.
Frozen 2 is officially in the works, according to Elsa actress (and original belter of 'Let it Go'), Idena Menzel.
In an interview with the UK's Telegraph, Menzel confirmed that the sequel and the stage musical are going ahead.
“...they’re all in the works,” said Menzel. But as for her involvement, the actress played it a little more cautiously.
“Ah, yeah sure… Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride."
In the two years since launch, Nintendo’s second-screen console has evolved considerably. The Wii U is far more accessible than before, thanks to an updated interface that gets you into menus and apps much faster, and a quick-start menu that lets you jump into a game from standby mode. It also boasts a killer library of first-party games that offers experiences you won’t find anywhere else.
Yet this system still suffers from third-party neglect, and its major point of difference, the GamePad, is underutilized. Although the latter is a fantastic piece of kit, Nintendo has yet to justify it wholly with its software, and it faces the danger of being ignored by consumers as a crucial part of the system altogether.
Broken Age: Act 2 is now targeting a release date in early 2015.
Double Fine's Greg Rice made the announcement via the studio's official forum. According to Rice, things are speeding along, but still need a little more time.
"The team has been steadily growing in size over the past month and progress is being made really rapidly now. The key milestone being that just last week we hit Alpha on both Shay and Vella’s halves of Act 2, leaving just the big finale section until we can say the entirety of Act 2 is at Alpha!" Rice said.
He continued, confirming that except for the finale, nearly the entire act had reached a full Alpha state in which the team could begin playtesting. Rice reports that the team has been mostly happy with the results of the tests, and from the many tests that had already been conducted, estimates Broken Age: Act 2 will take nearly 8-12 hours to complete.
It seems like Season 5 of The Walking Dead just started, but we're already at the midseason finale and the show's final episode until February. "Coda" will see Rick, Daryl, and Tyreese attempting to extract Beth and Carol from the hospital. The synopsis for the episode teases a showdown between Rick's group and Dawn's group. The latter might prefer to works things out violently instead of opting for a peaceful agreement.
Besides seeing some progress in that plot, it looks as though we'll also touch base with Michonne and Carl. See photos from the episode in the below gallery

This coming Tuesday, Woody, Buzz, Rex, and the rest of the Toy Story gang return for a brand-new holiday TV special, Toy Story That Time Forgot - a crisp and clever adventure that actually syncs up better with the recent Jurassic World buzz than it does with the oncoming Christmas season.
Other than the fact that this tale takes place a few days out from Christmas, which allows for the introduction of new toys, the Yuletide messaging remains rather soft - relegated mostly to a gentle-voiced Christmas tree ornament called Angel Kitty who chimes in every so often with affirmations that are often met with eye-rolls ("Limitations are the shackles we bind to ourselves"). And the endgame lesson-learned is a familiar one for the Toy Story brand: Having your child owner play with you while going nuts with their imagination is the best thing a toy can experience.
I've kept a top ten movies list in my mind most of my life. In a lot of ways, I relate to Rob Gordon, the record store owner from High Fidelity (amazing movie, not in my personal Top Ten). I love to categorize my love for anything into a list and the reasons for my rankings over time depends on where I am in that moment in my life.
Ten years ago, if you asked me my favorite movie ever, it would have been Rushmore. Poltergeist and Trainspotting and This is Spinal Tap and Blade Runner and Mulholland Drive all flirted with this list at one time or another. At points in my life, you would have found Pulp Fiction here or Before Sunrise or even Marvel's The Avengers (such was my glee after seeing my favorite team of heroes assembled on the big screen). It pains me that there's no room for Back to the Future or Boogie Nights or The Little Mermaid or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Ok, Z Nation is moving into some weird territory now. Yes, the show was already pretty strange, even compared to your average zombie fiction, but now it’s starting to play with some interesting concepts that you wouldn’t necessarily associate with the genre.
We’ve been witnessing Murphy’s slow transformation the entire season, as he went from a fairly scruffy looking zombie immune ex-con into what now looks like an undead form with the fully function mind of a living man. He’s disgusting. That scene with him pulling off the skin from his hand and then deciding to keep it in his shirt pocket was… yeah. Murphy is getting nasty and has been rotting away for a while now.

Even though Chas tagged along here in "Rage of Caliban" (a Halloween episode just in time for Thanksgiving), he's a dry enough character (for now) that I sort of considered this chapter a solo-John episode. And yes, the show is getting progressively weaker when it comes to coming up with excuses for one of the team members being absent.
A few weeks back it was Chas repairing the taxi cab and this time it was Zed - who was in art class. And considering how last week's spiritual mess needed the full trio and Corrigan and Papa Midnite, you'd think there'd be a more "all hands on deck mentality" going on as it pertains to the Rising Darkness making every troublesome event even more challenging.

With the announcement of Warners' DC Comics movie slate, some of us (horror comic book fans) felt a little let down, thinking: Where is Guillermo del Toro's Justice League Dark film in the lineup? While the film isn't scheduled yet, del Toro has reportedly just handed in his completed script to the studio.
Speaking to Forbes about his FX series The Strain, del Toro confirmed the status of the tentatively-title Dark Universe movie, saying how the screenplay was handed in to Warner Bros. this week, and is on its way to being read over the next few days. (That is, if the execs won't be held up trying to get a glimpse of the Star Wars trailer…)

After last week's (admittedly enjoyable) clip show, almost any episode of The Legend of Korra would have been a welcome change of pace. Luckily, "Beyond the Wilds" wasn't just entertaining; it was also one of the strongest Book Four episodes to date. Almost every single character was given their due in this week's episode -- even the apathetic Ryu, whose amusing turn as a Spirit Wilds' tour guide added a unique twist to the spirit vine subplot. For Korra, this meant an opportunity to prove her worth to President Raiko and the other world leaders.
The second act of DC's Green Lantern: Godhead crossover is coming to a close in Sinestro #7. As the attention shifts back to Sinestro, the war against the New Gods is going badly for all the Lantern Corps. The only solution is to find a way to travel to New Genesis, and Sinestro might be just the Lantern-wielder to pull it off.

The teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens is now available to watch online.
Last week we reported that the teaser would play in select cinemas from today and over the weekend. (If you live in the US, and fancy seeing it on the big screen, here's a full list of the theatres in which it's playing.)
The trailer opens with a shot of a desert – presumably Tattooine - before John Boyega pops into shot looking rather distressed and wearing a Stormtrooper's outfit. This is followed by various shots of droids rolling across Tattooine before newcomer Daisy Ridley appears, riding a speeder across the sands.
Takashi Sensui has resigned as chief of Xbox in Japan and will instead relocate to the company's US headquarters. He will be replaced by Takahasi Minami, who joined the company in July after 25 years at Sony.
The change comes amid ongoing struggles for the Xbox One in Japan, where the console is failing to perform as well as either the Xbox 360 or original Xbox did.
The current tally for Xbox One sales sits at 38,461. Seeing as the console sold 23,562 of these back in the four days following launch in September, it seems progress has stalled somewhat. The Xbox 360 sold double these numbers in its first two days back in 2005.
Sony will not renew its sponsorship contract with FIFA when it expires at the end of the year, Nikkei reports, apparently opting to channel the funds into structural reforms.
Sony has been an “official partner” and FIFA sponsor for the past eight years in a contract worth 33 billion yen (approximately $280 million USD). "The existing contract with Sony runs until 31 December 2014 and we are currently in discussions with the brand," a A FIFA spokesman said in a statement issued to press.
Sony, allegedly, is the second body this month deciding not continue its support after Emirates Airline officially announced the conclusion of its partnership with the organization.

As Star Citizen sails past it’s $63 million USD stretch goal, developer Cloud Imperium Games announced that it plans to introduce a traditional and exotic pet system when it hits the $64 million USD milestone.
“We have repair bots, we have fish… but we haven’t implemented a traditional pet system in Star Citizen yet. At $64 million, that changes,” writes Cloud Imperium Games founder, Chris Roberts, in an official update. “From Jones the Cat in Alien to the Battlestar Galactica’s Daggit, pets have a place onboard starships… and we want to give you that option in Star Citizen.
Uppercut Games is one of the most interesting indie studios operating in Australia at the moment. It's Thanksgiving in the United States today and gamers who were still able to move after gorging themselves on festive feasts were treated to a Thanksgiving-themed session of Resogun.
Today, without much hullabaloo or circumstance, the humans in Resogun, Sony's Defender-esque twin-stick shooter for PS4 and coming to PS Vita, were replaced by tiny, voxel wild turkeys. The gameplay remains the same, where the objective is to survive long enough to rescue the innocent humans from phase after phase of enemies, but the humans are now turkeys.
If a turkey is lost the game still says "human lost," but when a turkey is first dropped from its holding pen it makes a distinct, almost cartoonish gobble sound, and does the same when picked up for transport.
During last year’s visit to The Hobbit set at Peter Jackson’s Stone Street Studios in Wellington, New Zealand, we sat down with a hairy-footed Martin Freeman as he filmed final pick ups for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
A little frazzled (in a charmingly ‘Tim from The Office’ kind of way) but nonetheless very forthcoming, Freeman talked about Bilbo’s journey, the pain his character is now suffering because of the ring, and saying goodbye to the film series he’s been working on for the last three years.

It’s frankly astounding that it’s taken this long for a book like Gotham By Midnight to happen. Gotham is a world that lends itself to supernatural lore tremendously, so that the Bat office has finally put together a book about the police force that tackles the things that go bump in the night in Batman’s city is a real treat. That they’ve put such a killer creative team on it is also pretty great. Writer Ray Fawkes and artist Ben Templesmith put out a whopper of a start to what may be the most interesting new Batman book in a while.
